WHY TO JOIN

A Life
Changing Event

Mentoring Walk Hawai’i offers space for real conversation, shared reflection, and purposeful connection. The Mentoring Walk is a one-mile walk with an exceptional female leader, designed to spark meaningful conversation, connection, and community.
Participants walk in pairs—a mentor and a mentee (don't have one...we'll match you before walk day!)— sharing stories, asking questions, and exchanging knowledge while walking together in nature.
Whether you're just starting out in your career or have years of experience to share, this walk invites women and girls of all backgrounds to come together and learn from one another.
Funds raised from the walk support Nurturing Wāhine Fund’s wellness programs, initiatives, research and community partnerships that empower women and girls across Hawaiʻi.

1. Who can participate in Mentoring Walk Hawaiʻi?

Anyone is welcome to join! Whether you're a mentor, mentee, supporter, or simply passionate about community and leadership, we encourage you to walk with us. You may register as a pair or individually. We’ll match individual participants with a partner in the days leading up to the walk.

Join us for a walk along a path shaped like a shoe. We chose this beautiful path because every step we take is a step up: into our potential, into connection, into racial and gender equality. The shoe reminds us that every journey starts with a single step, that the paths we follow are built by those who came before us, and that the footprints we leave can guide others after us. This walk isn’t just about moving our feet. It’s about moving together, stepping up, and stepping into mentorship and empowerment.

2. What should I bring to the walk?

We recommend comfortable walking shoes, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), and a water bottle. Your registration includes a T-shirt, which you'll receive on event day!

4. What happens if it rains?

The walk will take place rain or shine! In case of severe weather, we’ll notify participants via social media about any changes or postponements.

5. Is the walk accessible for all ages and abilities?

Yes. The location is designed to be inclusive and walkable for participants of all ages and mobility levels. If you have specific accessibility needs, please let us know during registration so we can support you.
